The
tournament is held at Iolani School, nationally recognized
as an outstanding academic institution. Its wrestling
program has captured 12 state titles and 19 league
titles since 1981. The tournament is sanctioned by
the National Federation of State High School Associations
and by the Hawaii High School Athletic Association.
National Federation High School rules and weight classes
will be in effect. See Information Sheet below for
details.
We
suggest making your team's travel plans as early
as possible as this event takes place during the
busy holiday travel season. Iolani
School is located near the campus of the University
of Hawaii, just a short mile or so from world famous
Waikiki Beach and about 20 minutes from Honolulu
International Airport. Accommodations
are located on or near Waikiki Beach.
While
in Hawaii take in some of Oahu's attractions. Visit
Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial, climb
to the top of Diamond Head Crater for a magnificent view
of Honolulu, or snorkel
at beautiful Hanauma Bay. You
could drive to the North Shore to view some of the world's
biggest waves, visit
some of Oahu's quaint and picturesque towns and
experience the Aloha spirit of the Hawaiian people.
